Welcome to Colchester, a small town where everybody knows each other and the pace of life allows the pursuit of love to take up as much space as it needs. A play about love, nostalgia, the seasons and how we learn to say goodbye.

Still Life with Iris by Steven Dietz
No concerns
Still Life with Iris is a fantastical adventure which centers on a girl’s search for the simplest of things: home. Iris lives with her mom in the land of Nocturno, a magical place in which the workers make, by night, all of the things we see in the world by day. In Nocturno memories do not reside in people’s minds, but in their coats (called “PastCoats”). The rulers of Nocturno, the Great Goods, are determined to have the “best” of everything on their island and therefore take Iris away from her home and bring her to Great Island to be their daughter. To ease the pain of this separation, they remove her PastCoat leaving her with no memory of her home or her family. All that remains of Iris’ past is a single button from her coat. Using this button as a clue, Iris joins with two friends she meets on her journey – Annabel Lee (a young woman from the sea) and Mozart (the composer, age 11) – and frees herself from the Great Goods. She returns to Nocturno, having found her past, and her home, once again.

Girls in the Boat by Alice Austen
No concerns
Girls in the Boat was inspired by the true stories of the U. S. women's Olympic rowing team. A group of smart, fiery young women fight discrimination and prejudice to compete in the male-dominated sport of rowing, finding an unlikely ally in a taciturn men's coach. Together, they confront ridicule and overcome obstacles. The women refuse to sit on a bus and wait their turn in a battle for gender equality in a sport that makes national news and takes them all the way to the world championships. Against the rhythm of their oars, these women forge bonds and overcome disagreements in their search for greatness. Despite their diverse backgrounds and politics, they literally pull together to reach their goals in a fast-paced drama that reminds us of what we can all do if we have a common purpose. As our heroines break barriers of race and gender, their newly minted U. S. women's rowing team goes on to become the most winning sports team in American history.

No concerns
A group of strangers meet in a dirty subway station. They have arrived with limited personal belongings, their watches have stopped and they all claim to be in different cities. Soon they learn there is no way out of the station, and the unfortunate truth is told to them: they are all dead. Since subway stations have two sides, they reason the train leaving from one platform must be bound for heaven, while the train leaving from the other platform must be bound for hell. But which platform are they on? They reflect upon their lives, recalling and confessing past deeds of which they are not proud, hoping to figure out which platform is which. The arrival of someone from the other platform only complicates matters, and the answer remains unclear. As the subway train finally approaches, they must decide whether to stay and ponder their actions further, or to have faith and climb aboard to their final destination.
